description:Located in Cambridge in the historical district, just two blocks from Harvard Yard, our 1897 colonial revival house, designed by architect George Fogerty, is noted for its simplicity of design and crispness of detail. We have preserved many of its original details. We are just a short T ride across the river to Boston. Our rooms are for double or single occupancy with king, queen or twin beds. The tax-free price includes parking, breakfast, afternoon tea and sherry. We have antiques, lace curtains, down pillows, fresh flowers in the room. Breakfast includes homemade bread, homemade jams, and fresh fruit and we make crepes, Belgian waffles or blueberry pancakes for breakfast. The rooms are air-conditioned, have cable TV, voice mail, overstuffed chairs, and antique writing desks. They are shared bath with a dressing gown and a basket for your toiletries, with no smoking on the premises. The rooms are on the third floor and they are light and airy. There is a back porch surrounded with trees. The common room has a small library of history, poetry, and tourist literature, a book of menus, and my grandmother's rocking chairs. If you wish to swim or use the weight room across the street, remember to bring your suit. We donate 5% of our profits to the Cambridge Action Fund, a nonprofit that helps the Cambridge homeless.;
description:Located in Cambridge in the historical district, just two blocks from Harvard Yard, our 1897 colonial revival house, designed by architect George Fogerty, is noted for its simplicity of design and crispness of detail. We have preserved many of its original details. We are just a short T ride across the river to Boston. Our rooms are for double or single occupancy with king, queen or twin beds. The tax-free price includes parking, breakfast, afternoon tea and sherry. We have antiques, lace curtains, down pillows, fresh flowers in the room. Breakfast includes homemade bread, homemade jams, and fresh fruit and we make crepes, Belgian waffles or blueberry pancakes for breakfast. The rooms are air-conditioned, have cable TV, voice mail, overstuffed chairs, and antique writing desks. They are shared bath with a dressing gown and a basket for your toiletries, with no smoking on the premises. The rooms are on the third floor and they are light and airy. There is a back porch surrounded with trees. The common room has a small library of history, poetry, and tourist literature, a book of menus, and my grandmother's rocking chairs. If you wish to swim or use the weight room across the street, remember to bring your suit. We donate 5% of our profits to the Cambridge Action Fund, a nonprofit that helps the Cambridge homeless.;

We offer our formal living and dining rooms year round for a more open and spacious environment. During the fall foliage season, guests may have an opportunity to observe the four deer that have matured during the past several years as they patronize our apple tree. During the late fall and winter, seating is offered in the Innkeeper's leisure room to enjoy the view and warmth and glow of a stone fireplace and the antique woodworking tools given to the Innkeeper by his grandfather. In the spring, while the mist is still in the air, enjoy the re-enactment activities that led to the start of the Revolutionary War. In the summer, guests are encouraged to enjoy the sun while swimming in out heated in ground pool and viewing the one acre of wooded and landscaped yard which borders conservation land. During the summer evenings, guests can enjoy the camoflaged lights that pierce through the maple trees to reflect off the water while huddling around a glowing firepit at poolside sharing life's experiences. We offer our home as a place away from home in warmth with a Touch of Charm and welcome the exchange of culture, tradition and traveler's tales.;
