Our lady slipper motif was taken from some of the carved trim. The house is nestled in the low hills of Orland, Maine overlooking the Narramissic River. Cynthia (Cindi) was born in Indiana (thus Hoosier Hospitality) and lived there until moving to Maine in 2000. She retired from the Department of Defense and enjoys being an Innkeeper at the Orland House b&b now. Cindi likes to decorate, which you will see when you visit and is a good cook. She enjoys her flower gardens and organizing anything. Cindi is also the Executive Director of the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Alvion was born in Massachusetts and spent his early years in Maine (thus New England Charm). Alvion retired from the Army and loved creating his 'Wicked Good' oatmeal for the b&b. He is a master gardener and involved in everything especially Orland River Day and the opening of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observation Tower. Cindi and Alvion have a son, two grandsons and a dog named Ty in Indiana. Both grandsons are almost perfect and the son is pretty darn handsome. Oh yes, and the dog is the smartest dog in Indiana.
