We bought this vacation house as the outdoor scenery is so great and the skiing is thrilling. Hiking is exhilirating in the clean and clear air around the resort or in the Shenandoah National Park nearby. Mountain Retreat is a cozy home a short walk from the new giant waterpark the Resort opened on December 18th. It's a short drive to the skiing and tubing area, to the golf courses, or to the horse stables. There's plenty of restaurants in nearby Harrisonburg, as well as the Fareways Restaurant in the resort. Long-term rates are negotiable. ;
