description:Rock Haven Cottages are located on coastal waters in a very private setting. Every year, large striped bass are caught by fishermen standing right on our very own dock. Coastal waters require no fishing license, so bring your fishing poles. The open ocean is about fifteen minutes from the dock. In the back yard there is a wildlife sanctuary and fantastic hiking trails. Camp roads are also open for biking trips. There are two cottages available for rental, with many attractions nearby. One cottage has just been built and the other has been completely renovated.

description:Built in 1874 for Galen Clapp Moses, the house became an instant celebrity in Bath when Jim and Larry purchased it in 1994 to create a bed and breakfast. Departing from traditional local house colors, this Italianate structure was draped in the most vivid colors of plum, pink and teal, thus its nickname, 'The Pink House'. There are surprises throughout the house, from the elegant gardens and rooms filled with tasteful antiques to the full theatre located on the third floor and once used to entertain officers from the nearby Naval Air Station during World War II. The house contains a number of spirits, other than the sherry served at 5:00 pm. Our ghosts, assuredly friendly, are likely to make their presence felt on a frequent basis. Early evening finds guests relaxing on the porches which surround the house or taking a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. A full breakfast is served each morning and varies according to the cook's mood. While juices, coffee and muffins are available for early risers and late sleepers, the full breakfast between 8:00 am and 9:00 am adds fresh fruit and such things as blueberry pancakes, mushroom quiche or sour cream and chive omelets. Historic Bath invites the traveler to spend a few relaxing days strolling through the pleasant parks overlooking the Kennebec River of rummaging through the many antique stores on Front Street. Beach lovers will find two sandy state park beaches within a short drive. The nationally acclaimed Maritime Museum, The Chocolate Church or the Art Gallery of Bowdoin College furnish exciting diversions on a rainy afternoon while short drives to Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor or Freeport (home of L.L. description:Mill Pond cottage is a cozy, secluded 2-bedroom home located on beautiful Arrowsic Island, surrounded by the Kennebec, Sasanoa and Back Rivers, just 10 minutes south of historic Bath, ME on Rt. 127. The cottage is situated on 5 acres of secluded woodland with +300 feet of shoreline on beautiful Mill Pond (above), a tidal saltwater marsh, bird lover’s paradise and home to a wide variety of ducks and geese, gulls, great blue herons, osprey and an occasional bald eagle. The marsh opens onto Hockomock Bay and provides excellent opportunities for kayaking or canoeing. In the morning you might be awakened by the gobbling of turkeys or the cooing of morning doves - or serenaded in the evening by a local coyote family and/or the abundant owl population. During the day you may want to just relax on the screened porch and read a book or nap. Or if you feel a need for exercise you could take a short hike to Sewall Pond, a lovely freshwater pond where you can take a dip to cool off or wet a line to sample it’s excellent pan fishery. If you’re inclined to catch some sun at the beach, Reid State Park is a short 10 mile drive - or cycle- down the peninsula. On the way back you might want to stop at Five Island’s Lobster Company to sample a freshly prepared lobster while watching lobstermen maneuver among the islands tending their traps. If boating is your thing, Robinhood Marine Center, a full-service facility, is 5 miles down the road in Georgetown. There's great shopping in historic Bath, Freeport or Booth Bay Harbor ... 10-30 min drive. Other things to do include sailing/island tours, whale, puffin and seal watching, a visit to Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, summer theatre in Brunswick, great restaurants like the famous Cook's Lobster House or five-star Robinhood Meeting House and much, much more.
