Large Eat- In Guest Kitchen with all the standard appliances. Large Living room with gas fireplace takes the nip out of the air. Outside there is a large Wrap around porch both front and back. Large section of it screened in to create a nice getaway in the evenings. Lots of outdoor furniture and Fire pit outside next to the patio area. We also have a Large Meeting Room with a new Caterers kitchen available for an extra charge. This seats 35 people at the table or arrange the chairs, benches and leather sofas to create more intimate settings. Also a large upright piano adds to the ambiance of the room.

description:Come visit where the love story of William Lawrence and Minnie Peet started. The Bed & Breakfast is a wonderfully maintained 107 year-old Queen Anne-style Victorian with hardwood throughout, 11 stained glass windows and a grand staircase. At the Crystal Palace, you will be treated to elegance, good food and a wonderful experience. The Crystal Palace is in Addison County and registered with the Vermont State Register of Historic Places. This lovely old mansion owned by Stacie and Stephen has been restored to its original splendor of white and red cherry, butternut, ash, and quarter oak, finished to a grand sheen by the owners. The house is located conveniently two blocks north of the traffic light at the village green. A lovely piazza which gracefully wraps around the southern and western façade of the house is furnished with wicker and beckons guests to come and sit awhile at this very special place. The interior is rich in natural wood trim, mostly oak, with a generous sprinkling of mahogany and maple. Previous owners have either left the house in its original condition or did a wonderful job restoring it to its original grandeur. In the first floor entrance hall the oak dado is unique. The quarter-sawn oak is cut to look like wood blocks or brick, an unusual decorative effect in wood. This leads to the two parlors located on the first floor. Stephen and Stacie have followed the old tradition of having two parlors – one for themselves and one for guests. The guests' parlor is a grandly romantic room with curved wall and windows, a rich oriental carpet and period antiques. The private parlor features the house's original fireplace and mantelpiece in all their glory. Three six-foot wide pocket doors separate the front hall, the two parlors and the dining room. The house is creatively decorated by Stacie with antiques acquired throughout their marriage either from family members or purchased at auctions. Those items that needed attention have been lovingly restored by Stephen. All of the chairs in the house...

description:Our best guess as to the age of ‘The Old Hotel’ is about 160 years, built circa 1840. The building was called ‘The Butterfield Hotel’ during the late 1800’s, and was home to the lumberjacks who worked in the area. This industry supplied logs to the many bobbin mills that lined our New Haven River. We decided on ‘The Old Hotel’ for its new name as the locals refer to our home as ‘The Old Hotel’. The building has had many names, ‘The Long Run Inn’ being the most recent. Some of our town folk claim we have a ghost. The story goes that it is a young lady who got involved with a lumberjack living at the hotel. Her story is based on the true story of Dora Cushman, the local doctor’s daughter, and her untimely death. Whether we have an apparition or not is anybody’s guess. I haven’t seen her yet An old hotel converted into a bed and breakfast, located in a lovely village nestled in the foothills of the green mountains.
