description:This hand-crafted, four bedroom log lodge, features a huge deck with unrivaled mountain views! There is great hiking and wildlife viewing right from the home, and a gourmet kitchen to satisfy any chef. With the secluded location, this home is the kind of retreat to just settle in for a true break from the real world! General location and setting: The lodge enjoys an extremely private, hilltop location on 240 acres. The main views are of the Absaroka Mountains and Paradise Valley to the east. From the deck, there are some nice open meadows down below the home, which is a great place to watch for deer, elk and even the occasional bear! It's a 45 minute drive to town - both Emigrant and Gardiner are 45 minutes from the house. At least 30 minutes of that drive is on somewhat rough, steep dirt roads - four wheel drive required! Style and decor: The lodge is beautifully decorated to give an old, Western Montana feel. There are wood and tile floors throughout the house and plenty of leather couches and overstuffed chairs for relaxing. The home is approximately 6000 square feet. The large kitchen will satisfy any chef's needs! Top of the line appliances, including a Viking range, plus all of the cookware and serving ware you could need are supplied. The dining room is off to the side of this very open living space. There is a large dining table set up to seat up to eight, plus additional seating at the four kitchen bar stools. Living room: The living room has a soft leather sofa plus a couple more chairs. There is also a small game table off to the side for more seating. The main focus of this gorgeous room is the huge rock fireplace in the center -- a perfect place to relax after a day of playing outside! Game room: The lodge's living area extends to the game room on the lower level which is furnished with some comfy seating around the entertainment center. If watching movies is a little too slow paced, there is also a pool table, and a bar area for evening cocktails! Other amenities: There is no phone line... ;

This complete kitchen has everything you will need to prepare any meals you desire during your visit. It is a long kitchen area, separated from the living area by a tall counter with a few barstools - for hanging out to chat with the cook! Off to the side is a dining table that seats four. Patio doors off the dining area lead out to a beautiful deck area for barbecues, or just relaxing and taking in the views. Living room: The living room has a cozy leather sofa for snuggling up in front of the woodstove on chilly evenings. The home has some books and games for entertainment, plus there is a television with VCR for watching movies. The home does not have television reception, but there are movie rental stores nearby if you need a movie fix. Setting, acreage, views: The cabin is located on 20 acres in the Paradise Valley, between the small towns of Emigrant and Pray. Views are of the rugged Absaroka Mountains, and Emigrant Peak - which is just above the main attraction in this part of the valley, Chico Hot Springs. Services available: The rental rate includes a weekly cleaning. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering services, and grocery shopping, can be arranged with a bit of prior notice. Activities nearby: Chico Hot Springs, or Chico as the name is shortened by locals, is open to the public, and is a must-do while you are here. Go for some great food, a relaxing soak in the hot springs, or some fun local music and a great dancing scene. Besides Chico, there is fishing on the Yellowstone River just a few minutes away, hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails, horseback riding, golf, skiing, tours of Yellowstone National Park, and everything that the towns of Livingston, Bozeman and Gardiner have to offer.
