Air conditioned and with cable TV as well, the main sleeping arrangement is a double bed. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet as amenities. Many activities and tours start and terminate in Hamilton and information can be picked up about them at the Visitors Service Bureau. Many boat charters and cruises leave from Hamilton as well. There's excellent food shopping nearby at Miles Supermarket where gourmet fare can be found, as well as beer, wine and spirits. Hamilton is also renowned for its library and the Old Perot's Post Office, and for City Hall with its galleries filled with exhibitions. Bermuda has a number of excellent commercial art galleries as well as fine custom jewelers, couture clothiers, antiques, china and crystal emporiums, bookstores, internet cafes and so on. Available on the South Shore in Devonshire is the guest cottage, overlooking the fabled coastline, best enjoyed from the turkoise waters of the horizon pool that hangs over the rocks of the shore.Close to the quiet waters of Devonshire Bay (where fresh fish can be purchased from the fisherman on their boats in the late afternoon) Devonshire is an ideal location: about 4 miles from Hamilton with all its shops and cafes.Heading straight up the South Shore Road heading west are all the famous beaches starting with Elbow Beach and going all the way to Church Bay, with Somerset Village and Naval Dockyard lying further down the road. There are two cottages, only one of which is available at any given time.Occasionlly both units may be available: please inquire if your party numbers 6 persons.The main house cottage is the front of the house, including a master-bedroom and bath, and a kitchen/dining area and formal livingroom overlooking the pool.The second cottage is the renovated bedroom wing of the house: built off to one side of the property (not behind the Main House cottage) the bedroom wing has a main floor bath, bedroom, kitchen and livingroom, with a pretty second bedroom above the livingroom area,overlooking the ocean and an enclosed cobbled courtyard, made private with walls and greenery and a shady tree where you can barbecue, enjoy the stars, the dawn and the views of the ocean. description:Beds: One room has twin beds which have headboards and cannot be put together. Other room has king which can be made into twins. Available immediately is a generously sized full two bedroom apartment located in a beautiful garden setting near Hamilton and the beach at Admiralty Park. The ground floor walk out apartment is a ten minute bus ride from Hamilton- or a walk of approximately a mile and a half from Front Street. There is a bus into Hamilton as well as the mini bus which will come and collect you for an extra fee. Motor bikes can be ordered easily from Smatts Cycle Livery which is about 3 minutes away. The apartment itself is part of a large exquisitely furnished modern home surrounded by gardens, a banana and paw-paw patch and immaculate lawns, fragrant vines and flowers. The apartment has a huge eat in kitchen with full sized appliances and a table, chairs and cutlery, dishes, pots and pans for five. There is a separate livingroom with TV on cable, a private phone line (all long distance calls can only be made by using a BERMUDA CALLING CARD, readily available island wide at gas stations, convenience stores etc). There is a King bed (which can be disassembled into two twin beds) and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. Linens are supplied but we ask you to bring your own beach towels as bathroom towels must not go to the shore. There is a four piece bathroom, linen closets, hardwood and ceramic tiled floors throughout and extensive storage capacity. description:The house is a lovely one level historic home situated on a hill in a quiet garden setting at the edge of the city of Hamilton with commanding views over the Hamilton Harbor. This is the home of the proprietors of a small hotel, Rosemont, situated on the property. The hotel mostly caters to a business clientle who find it convenient for the five minute walk into Hamilton. The hotel shares the large pool to the side of the house with the hotel. The handsome house was built with Bermuda cedar details throughout with a large front verandah facing the harbor and a large garden filled with flowers, a garden gazebo and outdoor seating for eight persons. Its central location is convenient to downtown Hamilton with all its shops, restaurants, ferry and bus stations and is only a ten or 15 minute taxi or bus ride to the nearest south shore beach. The house consists of a very large kitchen family room, laundry room, dining room and three bedrooms with bathrooms ensuite and a fourth bedroom or den. The master bedroom is king bedded with views from the double windows over the harbor. The second bedroom can be made up with either a king bed or two twins with small bath ensuite and the third bedroom has an antique double brass bed and small bathroom ensuite with views over the harbor from both rooms. The fourth bedroom can be made up with either a king or two twin beds with harbor views. The house is air conditioned throughout and maid service can be arranged several times a week. Elbow is the first of a series of bigger beaches that appear like pearls on a strand as you head up the south shore coast, heading west. Don't miss the often overlooked Jobson's Cove, Chaplin Bay, Stonehole Cove tucked away in between the better known Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay Beaches...
