Period furniture provides the flavor of yesteryear and comfort of a simpler time. Coffeeâs always brewing in the country kitchen with its ancient and huge soapstone sink beneath windows overlooking the long meadow to the Cockermouth River and wooded mountains beyond. Share breakfast with other guests in the formal dining room, or spend some private time on one of the farmâs three porches. The spacious veranda overlooks gardens, fields, and woods which host an array of wildlife, both furry and four-legged and avian.
