description:Originally built in 1915 as a summer beach home for the Arnot family, the Fig Tree Inn is a lovely old cedar shake shingle cottage in the traditional Southern beach style. In 1997, an extensive but extremely careful remodeling project was begun. The original wooden floors walls and ceilings were refurbished in beautiful and serene colors. Central air conditioning, new plumbing, and a modern kitchen were installed with as much care taken to retain the homes unique flavor. The result is a charming Bed and Breakfast with six bedrooms, each with a private bath. A lovely living-dining room and a wonderful porch where you may enjoy breakfast. We will make your stay at the Fig Tree Inn a memorable experience. The Fig Tree Inn is a two-storied house that has two bedrooms on the first story and four bedrooms on the second housed with many antique furnishings. The second story has a large deck with a view of the ocean. The first story porch with many comfortable chairs for lounging. Each porch has a swing that can seat a couple. We live in the neighborhood, and thus can provide valuable insight on our area, while also being available to attend to guest's needs at short notice. Our guest's comfort & safety are our paramount concerns. We use only 600 thread count bed linens and Egyptian cotton bath linens. Our linens never come in contact with chlorine bleach in deference to sensitive skin & environmental concerns. Our linens are soaked in a Woolite solution for 24 hours and then laundered. Unlike many hotels and vacation rental properties our cleaning service never tops up the clean linen count in a suite. Every single thread of bed and bath linens, including duvet covers are removed to be laundered and replaced with an all new stock of sanitized linens. La Palmeraie is a classic Florida beach house originally constructed in 1933, as the family abode for the then mayor Gonzalez. In 2004 La Palmeraie was extensively renovated, commencing an entirely new chapter in this historic home's story. The house is divided into 3 apartments, each with their own discrete separate entrance to ensure each guest's privacy. The ground floor of the house is comprised of the Master Suite, and the Garden Suite. The entire second floor is occupied by the Executive Suite.
