Casa Alejada is about 6 km from the city of Guanica and is separated from the city by low range of hills which is a Puerto Rican forest preserve. Beaches are in the forest preserve and a 5 minutes. There is also a ferry to a small mangrove and coral island called Guiligan's Island. The ferry is a five minute walk.
