Downstairs has a large lounge area with very comfortable suite offering retractable footrests. Leading off the lounge is the downstairs bathroom with shower cubicle and the third twin bedded bedroom with a good size wardrobe which could be particularly beneficial if you find stairs difficult. The galley kitchen is well equipped with everything required for home cooking if desired. Morning breakfasts can be spent outside on the large patio area to the front of the property and evening meals ?al fresco?.Continuing from the kitchen is an outside yard with sink, washing machine, clothes line, tumble dryer and two bikes. A back gate leads out to the large swimming pool with a segregated shallow area for small children. The second floor consists of the main bedroom with double bed, large built-in wardrobe, portable TV, sliding balcony doors leading onto a terrace where you can have your early morning breakfast. Leading off from the landing there is a well equipped family bathroom/shower room and at the other end of the landing the second twin bedded bedroom with fitted wardrobes. Its a narrow strip of land separating the Mediterranean sea from the quiet waters of the Mar menor offering all the water sports you can imagine. Shops, restaurants and bars line the strip which comes alive in the early hours of the night offering an incredible selection of food and drink.10 minutes to Cartegena, a bustling city with its attractive sea front, roman ruins, and museums. Its a great day out, especially when you start to explore the narrow ancient walkways.Murcia is a little further away approximately 45 minutes, with its attractive centre. Well worth a visit.If you wish to travel by local transport a bus stop 2 minutes away offers short rides to La Manga strip, Cartagena, and along the coast of the Mar Menor to Alicante. This bedroon has it's own sunny terrace, loungers are provided. The twin room is downstairs and would be suitable for someone with a disability, this room is next to the bathroom. Both rooms have hot and cold airconditioning and ample storage. The lounge/diner is spacious and well furnished. There are 2 sofa beds for extra guests and a log fire for your comfort in the winter. The dining area seats 6 and is roomy. There is a Sky system installed and a DVD player ( bring your own DVD's) The community The community of Estrella De Mar (starfish of the sea) is situated between two (one within walking distance) typically Spanish fishing villages on the land side of the Mar Menor. On site there are 4 restaurants/bars serving a variety in international cuisine. The restaurant by the beach has it?s own pool which is available to all guests and it serves a full menu and Spanish tapas. This is a favourite meeting place for guests.There are tennis courts, crazy golf and children?s play areas.The house is approximately 300 yards from the beach. There is bike hire on site.It is an area of outstanding beauty and is ideal for family holidays and is quiet and peaceful.For those seeking something livelier, La Manga strip with it?s bars and clubs is only a short drive away. In the other direction the town of Los Alcazares offers the same kind of lively entertainment and one of the best all year round markets in the area. The market is open from early till 2pm on a Saturday and is renowned for it?s ?bargains? Around the area La Manga Golf is 10 minutes away by car and the ancient city of Cartagena is 20 minutes away. The National Museum of Maritime Archaeology has many pieces on display collected from the many shipwrecks along the coast and in the old town the Roman Theatre and paved Roman roads can still be seen, Europe?s largest department store has recently opened here. El Corte Inglais. There are bus and rail services (Feve) nearby but we would recommend the hiring of a car to ensure you see all there is to enjoy in the area.
