On site there are 4 restaurants/bars serving a variety in international cuisine. The restaurant by the beach has it?s own pool which is available to all guests and it serves a full menu and Spanish tapas. This is a favourite meeting place for guests.Apart from swimming in the bath warm sea, you have access to the communal pool, which the apartment overlooks.There are tennis courts, crazy golf and children?s play areas close to the apartment.The apartment is approximately 300 yards from the beach. There is bike hire on site.It is an area of outstanding beauty and is ideal for family holidays and is quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area . La Manga Golf is 10 minutes away by car and the ancient city of Cartagena is 20 minutes away. The National Museum of Maritime Archaeology has many pieces on display collected from the many shipwrecks along the coast and in the old town the Roman Theatre and paved Roman roads can still be seen, Europe?s largest department store has recently opened here. El Corte Inglais. There are bus and rail services nearby but we would recommend the hiring of a car to ensure you see all there is to enjoy in the area.There is bike hire on site.For those seeking something livelier, La Manga strip with it?s bars and clubs is only a short drive away. In the other direction the town of Los Alcazares offers the same kind of lively entertainment.During the summer months, both villages have weekly markets.;

It's speciality is that it is still fairly Spanish and not spoilt by mass tourism. The Apartment is five minutes walk to the Mar Menor - a beautiful beach with cristal clear waters, hence the name Mar de Cristal (Crystal Sea). The water is warm and shallow, making it ideal for children. Many different water sports can be enjoyed here. There are two well-stocked supermarkets approximately 10 minutes walk from the apartment. There are restaurants and cafeterias within 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment. Surrounding Areas Close to Mar de Cristal are other Spanish villages, such as Los Belones, which is 10 minutes drive away and is full of shops, bars and restaurants. The well known La Manga Club is very beautiful and is 10 minutes drive away and incorporates the famous Golf and Sports facilities as well as many bars and restaurants. La Manga Strip is 10 minutes drive the other way. This is very unique, as it is literally a strip, the Mediterranean one side and the Mar Menor, where Mar de Cristal is, on the other side. description:Where is it Los Miradores del Puerto is situated 14km along the famous La Manga strip. Three minutes walk from either the Mar Menor or the Mediterranean seas. Only 45 mins from Murcia airport at San Javier, or 90 mins by motorway from Alicante airport. If you use Murcia airport then there is a new ferry service from Santiago de la Ribera to Thomás Maestre yacht port. Why not start your holidays this way with a short 5-mile ferry ride across the Mar Menor and a short taxi ride at each end? Our apartment The apartment was only completed late 2004 so everything is new and building work continues within the site. The accommodation boasts 2 comfortable bedrooms 1 twin 1 double, the double being en-suite and with its own balcony with views of the Mediterranean the twin shares a family bathroom. The kitchen has all the facilities you need for eating in. There is a large lounge and dinning area leading out to the main balcony with fantastic views across the deep-water canal and Thomás Maestre yacht port. Los Miradores del Puerto If you love golf then you are only 20 miles from the world famous La Manga Golf Complex or there is a 9-hole golf course just a mile away. If you love fishing you could almost cast off the balcony or just walk 100 yards to the deep-water canal. On site there is a large double swimming pool and a tennis court. There is a supermarket a bakery and 3 restaurants all within a short walk. Go back over the bridge to the marina and you are spoilt for choice, 2 more supermarkets and more bars and restaurants than you have days holiday. Water-sports are everywhere and if you don?t want to walk or drive then catch the regular bus service that runs the complete length of the strip. Excellent views across Tomás Maestre Yacht Port. Absolutely impossible to sit here and read a book, as there is so much going on over at the port or boat movements along the canal. The drawbridge only opens every hour so all the boats line up ready to go out into the Mediterranean.;

description:The location Only 50 metres from the beaches of the Mar Menor, a lovely walkway along the sea front will take you to the Tomas Maestro Marina or to the nearest restaurant and bar - 2 minutes, and 150 metres from the Mediterranean you would be hard pressed to find a nicer location.The communal pool is shaped and inviting if you tire of the beaches. There are also community tennis courts for your use.Shops, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance as is the Thomas Maestro Marina where you can admire the cruisers, or try out the many restaurants and bars.This really is an up and coming area of La Manga, called the new Marbella the marina has almost doubled in size and plans for a new deep sea Marina on the Med side are due to go ahead next year.A car is not necessary, airport pick up can be arranged. The Apartment This new and well furnished apartment really stands out because of the spectacular views from the good size balcony which has plenty of space for dining and sun bathing. From the balcony you have views of 2 seas, the Mar Menor and also the Mediterranean.The apartment is lovely and bright and spacious with an entry lobby and double doors into the lounge, all the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes.Air conditioning and underfloor heating make the apartment comfortable all year round - La Manga has sun for an average 320 days a year, the winter months are warm during the day but it is nice have heating for the evening. T Out and about La Manga Is a strip of sand spprox. 22kms (this property is 13km along the strip) long which forms a barrier and encloses the Mar Menor - Little Sea- and separates it from the Mar Mayor- Big Sea - or Mediterranean. At its narrowest it is only 100 metres wide. At the 2 extremes of the strip there are protected natural areas, Las Salinas, here you can see the pink pelicans. The Mar Menor is a paradise for nautical sports and you will find jet skis, diving, fishing and every other water sport available either in the Tomas Maestro marina or the sandy beach about 50 metres from the apartment. La Manga has a very good bus service if you prefer not to drive, visit Cartagena, the oldest sea port in the world, roman digs, museums, beautiful buildings still showing bullet scars from the Civil War. Shops and the New Marina area are worth a visit and the nearest McDonalds! Cartagena has the biggest local festival at the beginning of September a whole week of battles, and amazing site to see the Romans landing their boats and fighting off the Cartagenians, thousands dress up, even the babies and fight through the streets with a huge themed eatting park and fair. Don't worry if you miss this one, there are always fiestas in this area. Brand new apartment and very nicely furnished, the areas around the apartment are now finished so no building work is going on the complex.;
