Hiking is exhilirating in the clean and clear air around the resort or in the Shenandoah National Park nearby. Mountain Retreat is a cozy home a short walk from the new giant waterpark the Resort opened on December 18th. It's a short drive to the skiing and tubing area, to the golf courses, or to the horse stables. There's plenty of restaurants in nearby Harrisonburg, as well as the Fareways Restaurant in the resort. The dining room table is 9 feet long and seats 10 - 14 people comfortably. The maple kitchen is fully appointed with a banquette that seats 8 children or 6 adults. The master suite offers a king bed and 20 inch TV with digital cable. The two remaining upstairs bedrooms each have queen beds with cozy down comforters.
