The lake is a beautiful combination of open water with 34 foot depths and areas of lily pads and sedge grasses that attracts a variety of birds and fish. The lake front is unspoiled and teeming with wildlife. From our deck watch the bald eagles nesting on the island near our home, listen to the call of the loons, enjoy the sand hill cranes, geese, pintail ducks, and other water fowl. Or study our closest neighbors, the beavers, as they go about their daily rounds. Hike in the 220,000 acre Northern Highland State Forest that abuts our property, fish, hunt, bike. Or take the short leisurely drive to nearby Minocqua to enjoy their restaurants, shop, golf, or take in a ski show. Autumn provides spectacular colors, winter offers great snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the area. This new home, just completed in June of 2007, lets your enjoy the unspoiled wilderness outside and modern luxuries inside.
