The view will literally lure you to step out onto the large wrap-around deck. There, you'll take a fresh breath of sea air and absorb the magnificent mountain views on the horizon, dominated by Mt. Baker. Closer below, in Honeymoon Bay, is a postcard perfect view of fishing and sail boats in the bay. At night, the gentle bobbing of the mast lights at anchor sets a visual metronome that adds to the peacefulness of the setting. There are covered walk around decks that allow you to move freely around the property. You will marvel at all of the plantings, the work of a master gardener, and be amazed at how it almost seems to be a different eco system with each corner you turn. Simply put, the Harbor Lodge is the finest estate level property available for rent in Puget Sound today. Estimated at a value of nearly $2 million, this vacation home is for those discerning few who are used to the very best. There are seven different finished woods used in the construction, which might give you a sense of the attention to detail. This is the home that the owner of WR, and related yachting company www.ceoexpeditions.com personally stays in when on the island. The Harbor Lodge has its own private grounds (nearly two acres) with fruit groves, gardens for meditation, and private dock. Kayaks and other water toys may be available, upon request, for use around the harbor and to explore the island. The master suite is indeed a masterpiece, with its own sitting room and wood burning fireplace, office set up (internet included) and large TV. The Queen bed has a Temper-Pedic mattress and the master bath is all Italian marble, with its own bidet. Somewhat smaller in number of bedrooms than other WR properties, it makes up for it in size of the rooms and common spaces, living quarters that evoke an upscale, but understated beachfront elegance. Of course, there is a pool table and hot tub as well as indoor and outdoor dining. The two theatre level sound systems are the finest, and most expensive, available. It is our largest and best equipped kitchen and the home has catered to some of the leading Fortune 500 executive, actors and athletes in America.
