The lounge/dining room is open plan and comfortably furnished with french doors onto a patio and garden, with lovely views over farmland. This gite is quiet with complete privacy for relaxation, but close enough to the main house to be friendly or ask for help with places of interest. To the rear of the garden is a river that can be fished, it holds a large variety of fish large and small. From here you can look over to a small island where you can see a variety of birds including a pair of kingfishers if you are lucky. To the rear of the house is a patio with a brick built B.B.Q. chairs, loungers, patio table etc. There is plenty of car parking within the grounds to the front of the house. In early and late season our 'space dome' provides cover and warms the pool, making it very comfortable to swim in. Parcay Les Pins is about one kilometer away, where you will find a boulangerie for fresh bread, a hairdresser, a bar and also bar-tabac which provides good,and very reasonable,meals. Parcay is the centre for the local fruit cooperative for the area's produce of apples and pears. Locally grown asparagus, fresh fruit and vegetables are available nearby. There local wines are excellent. Parcay is also proud of its museum of sculpture. Our property is at the end of a private drive and is surrounded by fields. Our nearest neighbours are the horses in the fields. Neither property is overlooked. Both gites offer privacy and a peaceful environment in the country.;

The semi-circular kitchen is fully fitted with all modern conveniences and we have retained the original wine press and stone flagged floor where one can see the footprint depressions of the wine press operators. All the bedrooms are very comfortable, the family room having a double bed and bunk beds. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and a third bathroom is next to the third bedroom. French doors lead from the foyer (where there is a downstairs toilet) to your own private patio area complete with garden furniture and barbeque. Cot, highchair and pushchair are available The swimming pool is positioned in the top garden which soaks up the sun from morning to evening. There are sun loungers, table & Chairs and also a children's unsupervised play area with swings, toddlers slide, climbing rope plus many trikes and other outside children's toys.
