description:Couples or families are welcome at this beautifully renovated cottage at the mouth of the New Meadows River, an hour north or Portland, and just steps from the high tide mark. Wake up to southwesterly views of Casco Bay, breathe in the salt air, and watch the comings and goings of local lobstermen as you adjust to a slower pace. In fact, any one of them would be happy to provide you with dinner fresh from the boat. Kayaks and other hand-carried boats can be launched from a small pebble beach where Adirondack chairs and a cedar picnic table overlook the water. A kitchen, dining room/living room, sun porch, bedroom with twin beds, and bathroom complete the downstairs of the cottage. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, each with a full-size bed. With owner permission, futons in the living room and sun porch may be used for additional guests. The cottage has electric heat for guests in early spring or late fall. ;
