Cottage by the Sea features a fully equipped kitchen and sunny living room with cable TV, a DVD player, and air conditioning. Internet access is available, along with a lending library and a variety of family games. The living room also has two ceiling fans, a dining table as well as island counter seating, a sitting area and an additional queen size bed. Many windows grace the rooms, each one looking out to the lush, colorful garden and the mountains beyond. A cool and romantic bedroom features a queen size bed with ceiling fan, and beautiful island art to create a sensual and very Hawaiian type of ambiance. Guests repeatedly tell me how at home they feel here, with the cozy atmosphere and attention to detail so evident. The cottage is nestled in a large tropical garden filled with banana and papaya trees, colorful flowers and the fragrant aroma of plumerias floating on the ocean breeze. Birdsong and the sound of the ocean surf fill the garden with its own special music. The location is ideal, in a residential country setting and only two houses from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island (in 2001 National Geographic named it one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!). The beach is totally undeveloped, just miles of undisturbed beauty with the stunning grandeur of the Ko'olau Mountains hugging the coastline in a spectacular embrace. All this is only a two minute walk from the cottage! A great cottage has to have a great front porch. There is one common bathroom located in the main part of the house. There is ample sitting available in the Living Room with a 48 screen TV. The spacious, open dining room and living room both have large windows for viewing out to the ocean and beach. The kitchen has plenty of counter space, as well as a bar opening up to the dining room. Outside, there is a covered deck suitable for outdoor dining and socializing. For your convenience, an outside shower is there to rinse the sand and cool off from the sun. There is a large yard that is secured from the street with a private, electric gate. The yard is adorned with large bird of paradise, large traveling palm, rare hibiscus flowers, plumeria trees and much much more! Enjoy the private beach access as you walk through a short, sand trail surrounded by Beach Naupaka.
