The original owner who was CEO of Dayco corporation during the 1950's created the landscaped arrangement of tulip poplar trees, maples, dogwoods, rhododendron, daffodils, tulips and a sweet snowball secluded atop a cliff with the mountains in the background and the trout pond 100 feet below. The property has two trails for hiking as well as two year-round creeks and 2 waterfalls. As you enter this secluded lodge a warm fireplace surrounded by wormy chestnut paneling and 36 feet of floor to ceiling windows makes you feel like you are in a tree house. The five rooms in the main house each have their own private bath, king or queen size bed, knotty pine walls and cedar lined closets. Our Treetop Balcony Rooms, the two upstairs rooms, have a beautiful and private balcony that has a stunning view of the mountains, the tops of the trees and the sound of the creek flowing nearby. In the original Carriage House are the two jacuzzi suites. Each has a private porch, queen size bed and jacuzzi/whirlpool tub. Each morning Janie makes a hearty but healthy breakfast, which our guests continually rave about. There is always fresh fruit, breads and coffee to compliment this meal and you won't walk away hungry.
